The Orion Plastics system has one of Alberta’s largest rooftop solar PV systems. Orion Plastics has energy intensive processes in their manufacturing operation and the solar PV system will help them offset their costs and make their business more sustainable. The facility has a large roof space with minimal obstructions. This makes the building ideal for the installation of a solar PV system and what Great Canadian Solar was proud of provide for Orion Plastics. In partnership with Enmax Energy, GCS provided the installation, permitting, and commissioning services.
